Rock and roll caused quite a stir when it first began to be played, as many claimed that it was immoral. Since the 50s, rock and roll has come a long way, and has ingrained itself in American society.

In this song Elvis only cares about his blue suede shoes, he doesn´t mind nothing else, what is important for him is to have his shoes in good conditions for dancing. He prefers others to hit him rather than stepping on his favorite shoes. His shoes are the most important thing.

-I have chosen this song because:

I have chosen this song because is one of my father´s favorites. He used to hear it when he was young. When he and his friends went in the car after a great day of surfing, they used to hear this song, although it wasn´t a contemporary song. Nowadays he still remembers those times when he listens to it, that´s why he always will listen to it because it reminds him good memories.

I think it is a very funny song, although I don´t understand very well the lyrics. Maybe he was reminding something that happened to him with his suede shoes, while he was writing this song.While listening to it I try to imagine him dancing, as he has a very particular way of dancing that I would like to see but unfortunately in many of his videos it doesn´t appear.
