The song is basically saying: just show you care. Reach out and show you care. So in concert it's the perfect show closer, because what Hodgson  tries to do in his show over two hours is unify the audience .So that at the end, when everyone stands up for 'Give A Little Bit,' they're open and ready to open their hearts and sing at the top of their lungs and go away with a smile on their face. And that song really does, it has a very pure energy. Roger says that  The moment he starts, people just start smiling

·         Why have I chosen this song?

I’ve chosen this song because is one of my father’s favourites. It reminds him of his youngster because his family used to gather in a house in their town and all of them still remember that they listened always Supertramp songs, and since then he has been listening to it always, and he has some of their albums, so it is one of the most important bands for my father.

·         What does this song make me feel?

As Supertramp is one of my father’s favourite bands, he used to play their albums during long journeys, and as I’ve been listening to it since I was young, I guess the feelings that it produces to me are like a mixture of happiness and longing. And it also remembers me of summer, because last summer my father and I used to sing it in the garden while I play it on the guitar, and as it’s meaning is o peaceful, it’s a nice song to hear, because it makes you happy
