The song is about a girl who tells how she fells after having finished a bad relationship and start a new one that makes her feel as if everything was for the first time, like a virgin. A letter full of double meanings, very sexual and original, to be a theme that no one before had dared to touch on at those times. 

                                         

The reason why I have chosen this song is...

I have chosen this song because is the favourite of my mother. She likes the song because it brings her many recollections of her youth, like her first love or her firsts experiences in life. 'Like a Virgin' reminds my mother when she was partying with her friends who love to sing and dance songs of Madonna everywhere. It seems to be bold and nice at the same time and that is what my mother loves. She is always listening to it and to many other songs of Madonna in the car and also at home and she always wants my sister and me to sing them with her, and that's why I have learned most of Madonna's songs so well!

What this song makes me feel is...

This song can make you relive moments, such as the first time you did something important or as in this case,your first love. It makes you feel like new, a different person willing to do anything and live new experiences. Madonna says she recorded "Like a virgin" thinking about someone who make her feel fresh and new, despite all what people believed.
